Compromise Mine

Compromise Mine, located on Aspen Mountain was an important silver mine during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It was first discovered in 1885 and quickly became a significant contributor to Aspen's booming mining industry. The mine produced substantial amounts of silver ore, attracting numerous miners and investors. However, like many mines in the area, it faced challenges due to declining silver prices and eventually ceased operations.

A group of local silver miners purchased the mine in the 1980s with the hopes of reviving operations on more than a hobby mining scale. Today, it is our hope to bring back a piece of Aspen's silver mining glory as we explore a new and exciting future for Compromise Mine.
